REUNION of Choral Bible Stories
at the 2016 FRINGE

Rochester, NY -   The QARAB Singers performed “REUNION of Choral Bible Stories” at the beautiful Lyric Theatre on Sunday, September 18 as part of the First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival. The beautiful choral sound and amazing soloists inspired the audience, as they watched the video featuring the artwork of renowned local artist, R. J. Ketchum. Songs depicting stories from the Old Testament included “Israel’s Colorful Boy”, the story of Joseph and his brothers, “Ten Plagues” about Moses and the Pharoah, “A Treasured Story” featuring Young David and Goliath, and “Duel on the Hill” about Elijah and Queen Jezebel. This was followed by “Wolves and Sheep”, a 21st Century Encore that echoes today’s headlines. The final number of the evening, “O Carry Me”, is a tribute to the men and women in uniform who sacrifice every day so that we can enjoy our freedom. The music of QARAB is written by E. A. Messenger and Jim Schmitt, orchestrated and recorded by Jim Schmitt. Video production is done by Brian Swereda and Video Tech Productions.
