“Israel’s Colorful Boy”, a new musical cd release, is a brand new song by composers E.A Messenger & Jim Schmitt. The fully orchestrated cd tells the story of Joseph (of the Old Testament), his eleven brothers, and his father Jacob, with an upbeat, modern flair that is appealing to all ages. Using a variety of tempos and musical styles, performed by a cast of 13 talented singers, “Israel’s Colorful Boy” brings to life the message in a fresh and entertaining way.
The story of Joseph (made popular in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT) is just one of many tales featured in the new musical, THE GOOD SHEPHERDS, by Messenger and Schmitt. They have collaborated on the award-winning, six phase musical series called A SIMPLE ODE, an educational, inspiring, amusing and engaging collection of morality tales ideally suited for churches, school groups, homeschoolers and families.
